Yesh Atid MK Miki Levy to Leave Knesset List, Take Party Role

Member of Knesset Miki Levy, a veteran politician from the Yesh Atid party, announced Monday evening that he will not run for the upcoming Knesset elections on the party's slate. The decision follows a personal meeting with Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid.

Levy stated that he and Lapid agreed he would not be part of the Yesh Atid list for the next Knesset but would continue to be active within the party in a different capacity. "I am leaving Yair's home right now, after a personal and moving meeting between us. We agreed that I will not be on the Yesh Atid list for the next Knesset," Levy said.

In addition to stepping down from the Knesset list, Levy revealed that Lapid offered him another role within the party. "Yair asked me to serve as the head of the party's court, and I happily agreed," Levy stated.

This means Levy will not seek another term in the Knesset representing Yesh Atid, but he is not leaving the party. Instead, he is expected to continue his involvement in his new role as head of the Yesh Atid court. Levy's announcement follows a similar decision by another senior Yesh Atid figure not to run in the elections, continuing a period of change in the party's composition as it prepares its list for the next Knesset.
