Yesh Atid Lawmakers Frustrated Over Campaign Management, List Placements

Yesh Atid party officials anticipate that retired Major General Noam Tibon and prominent current lawmakers will secure realistic spots on the party's Knesset list for the upcoming election, running under the "Beiteinu" faction. Current MKs expected to be placed high on the list include Vladimir Beliak, Naor Shiri, Merav Ben Ari, and Merav Cohen. Growing frustration is palpable within the party as Chairman Yair Lapid prepares to announce the list placements this coming Saturday night. "The campaign is being run by Bennett's people, the veteran Yesh Atid MKs are not involved at all," one incumbent MK told Kan News, adding that "the mistakes made have not changed this." The party currently has 24 MKs, the vast majority of whom are not expected to make it into the next Knesset. This realization has fueled a recent wave of departures, with MKs Boaz Toporovsky, Ron Katz, and Meir Cohen announcing their exits. MKs Yoav Segalovitz and Elazar Stern will run with other parties, Ra'am and Yisrael Beiteinu, respectively. MK Mickey Levy is also reportedly considering not running on the party's list in the upcoming elections. Neither Yesh Atid nor MK Levy have yet commented on this possibility.
