MK Miki Levy said Wednesday on Radio 90FM that reports about former prime minister Naftali Bennett were false. The claims said Bennett was weighing dissolving the Yachad party and becoming No. 2 in Yesh! under Gadi Eisenkot.
Levy rejected the story outright, saying, “The publications are not correct, Bennett is not considering being Eisenkot’s number 2.” He added that “this is not the time for experiments,” describing Bennett as right-leaning, capable of bringing voters, and “straight and liberal.”
Levy also said, “We will win the elections and replace this bad government, the October 7 government.”
In recent days, reports had said that, because of weak polling for Yachad, Bennett was considering breaking with Yair Lapid and joining Eisenkot instead. Earlier, Bennett had made repeated efforts to persuade Eisenkot to unite in order to “strengthen the bloc,” but Eisenkot has not agreed so far.
