Netanya Honors Firefighters at Rosh Hashanah Celebration
A special Rosh Hashanah celebration was held in Netanya on the evening of September 3, 2026, bringing together city leadership and emergency services. The event, organized by MaDA, recognized the contributions of the fire department. Attendees included Netanya Mayor Avi Salamah, Central District Commander Roni Kedem, Deputy Head of the Netanya Regional Fire Department Dan Yosefberg, along with representatives from the police, Histadrut, firefighters, retirees, and volunteers.
During the gathering, the district commander reviewed the past year's achievements and outlined future objectives. The regional commander delivered a speech on the current activities of the units and wished everyone a good and safe year. Mayor Salamah offered his blessings and pledged to build an additional fire station in the city, as well as establish a dedicated firefighters' square to honor their work.
Officers, commanders, and volunteers received certificates of appreciation for their effective service. The Netanya station commander concluded the event by congratulating all employees and residents of the region on the upcoming New Year, wishing them health and safety.
