Hotel Evicts Autistic Teen and Family After Outburst

A family was reportedly forced to leave a hotel in Netanya after their 15-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum, shouted in the lobby. Iris Tzabar, the mother, stated that the hotel's reception manager began yelling and making threats in front of other guests. She explained that her son, Uriel, had shouted while watching a video in the dining room but was not violent or destructive. The family decided to leave the dining room to help him calm down.

Tzabar told the reception worker that her son has special needs, but he allegedly threatened to sue her for NIS 100,000, claiming the boy frightened other guests. Tzabar asserted that no other guests had complained. The reception worker then reportedly demanded that she keep her children confined to their room and prevent them from wandering the hotel.

The incident caused significant emotional distress to the children. Uriel's sister, Yasmin, described feeling helpless, sad, and confused, unable to understand why they were being removed from the hotel. Tzabar added that no other guests intervened and that the incident ruined the vacation for her entire group of friends.
