11-Year-Old Girl Critically Injured After Falling Through Rooftop Stairwell in Holon
An 11-year-old girl was seriously injured on Tuesday evening after falling from the roof of a residential building in Holon into a stairwell shaft during a friend’s birthday party. According to initial details, she had come to the celebration on the building’s roof when she allegedly stepped onto a glass surface covering the stairwell opening.
The glass shattered beneath her, and she fell from a height into the shaft. Emergency medical teams gave her first aid at the scene and evacuated her to hospital in serious condition.
Police from the Holon station arrived and opened an investigation into the circumstances. Officers are examining whether negligence played a role in the incident.
As part of the inquiry, the parents of the girl whose birthday was being celebrated are also expected to be questioned, since they invited friends to the event.
