Berry Sakharof Releases New Album After 15-Year Hiatus

Israeli rock musician Berry Sakharof has released his highly anticipated new album, "Sulam Ha'ahava" (The Ladder of Love), on streaming platforms. The surprise release occurred without prior announcement or a promotional campaign, with Sakharof revealing the album to the public at the end of his performance in Tel Aviv on the previous night. This marks his first studio album in 15 years, a period fans have eagerly awaited.

"Sulam Ha'ahava" features ten entirely new songs, showcasing Sakharof's signature sound characterized by powerful, edgy rock with personal lyrics and oriental influences. Notably, the album does not include recent collaborations with other artists such as Aviv Geffen, Omri Smadar, Red Axes, and Shiri Maimon. The new material includes a song written by the late Dan Toren, who passed away in 2024, and another penned by Micha Shitrit. Sakharof's son, Hendler, produced the majority of the tracks.

Approaching his 70th birthday, Sakharof remains one of Israel's most respected and prominent musicians. In recent years, he has been active with various collaborative projects, including those with Ehud Banai and Dudu Tassa, alongside his solo performances. The release of "Sulam Ha'ahava" is being hailed as a significant gift to his audience.
