Moshe Laufer Releases Sixth Album in Celebrated Chabad Nigunim Series After 15 Years

Fifteen years after launching a landmark series in Hasidic music, renowned arranger Moshe Laufer and producer Levi'k Tobol have released "Moshe Laufer Plays Chabad 6," the sixth installment in their prestigious collection. The series is celebrated for presenting the treasured Chabad nigunim (melodies) in rich, contemporary musical arrangements that honor their spiritual depth and tradition.

The previous five albums sold tens of thousands of copies and became staples at Jewish celebrations and gatherings, with many melodies becoming integral to Hasidic joyous occasions. This new album continues that legacy with a carefully curated selection of well-known and rediscovered Chabad nigunim, each given a fresh orchestral interpretation by Laufer while respecting their original character.

Featured vocalists include prominent Chabad singers Eli Marcus and Mendy Jeroffy, alongside Yoni Shlomo and Baruch Shalom Belsofsky, whose varied vocal styles enrich the album's sound. The Chabad choir "A Kapelye" from New York, conducted by Yossi Cohen, was chosen for its authentic connection to the Chabad musical tradition, ensuring precise and faithful performances.

Mixing was handled by Mendy Friedman and Aviv Yerimi, who added depth and power to Laufer's arrangements, while mastering by top sound engineer Eli Lishinsky polished the album to a professional finish.
