Israel asked the United States to let it review the memorandum of understanding with Iran, but was refused, according to a first report aired Tuesday on N12's "Evening Edition." As a result, Israel still does not know the full details of the deal, which is expected to be signed this coming Friday in Switzerland.
Earlier Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said he would hold a press conference on the agreement with Iran and that he would "read the document word for word." He did not say when the agreement would be revealed in full.
The report leaves Israel waiting for the contents of a deal that could shape its security assessments, even as Washington prepares to present it publicly later this week.
