Rabbi Israel Meir Yedida, 56, Dies After Sudden Collapse in Bnei Brak

Rabbi Israel Meir Yedida, a spiritual supervisor at the "Ohel Yosef Heichal Tzvi" yeshiva, passed away at the age of 56 after a sudden collapse at his home in Bnei Brak. Emergency services were called to his residence on Rav Ashi Street and performed extensive resuscitation efforts before transporting him in critical condition to Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center. Doctors fought for his life but were ultimately forced to declare him deceased, to the sorrow of his family and students.

Despite his prolonged and severe illness, which included the amputation of a leg and kidney transplants, Rabbi Yedida was remembered by his students for his constant warmth, joy, and dedication to spreading happiness. He had battled diabetes for many years, leading to the loss of his leg, and underwent numerous complex treatments and kidney transplants. Nevertheless, he was known for his unwavering positive demeanor, mental fortitude, faith, and the joy he continued to impart while teaching Torah.
