Hamas Warns Operatives to Abandon Electronics After Key Arrest

Hamas has issued a severe warning to its operatives, instructing them to discard all electronic devices following the capture of Moin al-Arabid, the head of Hamas's internal security in Gaza, in a special operation by the IDF. The terror group's communication platform, Al-Majed, which has direct ties to Hamas's internal security mechanisms, disseminated the alert. The organization stated that "any technological means can enable the discovery of your location." Hamas also cautioned its members to exercise extreme caution when moving between locations, even in seemingly safe areas like the heart of Gaza City. Furthermore, the group has forbidden the use of digital messaging applications, such as WhatsApp, even for communicating with family members, who Hamas warns could inadvertently or intentionally reveal the operatives' whereabouts.
