Israel Railways Updates Schedule With New Evening and Rush Hour Services

Israel Railways is implementing a new schedule effective September 4th, introducing significant changes to key routes. The updates include the addition of three evening trains running Sunday through Thursday on the Modiin-Nahariya line, which serves major hubs like Ben Gurion Airport, Haifa, and Acre. These enhancements aim to improve connectivity to northern Israel, particularly for passengers arriving on late flights.

On weekdays, these additional services will commence on Sunday, September 6th. Concurrently, train frequency is being increased in the "Sharon Ring" and in central city stations. During peak hours, stations such as Ra'anana-Maarav, Ra'anana-Darom, Hod HaSharon-Sokolov, Kfar Saba-Nordau, Rosh Ha'ayin Tzafon, Bnei Brak, and Rishon LeZion-Moshe Dayan will see up to four trains per hour.

Similar targeted increases in service are being made to the southern Tel Aviv metropolitan area, including Holon, Bat Yam, Yavne-Maarav, Rishon LeZion-Moshe Dayan, and Ashdod-Ad Halom. The schedule for Fridays and the end of Shabbat has also been adjusted due to shorter daylight hours. Train services before Shabbat will now conclude earlier, between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, while services resume around 9:00 PM after Shabbat ends.
