Kourtney Kardashian Reveals Painful Miscarriage After Planning Baby Girl
In a new documentary about her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Kourtney Kardashian reveals that she became pregnant six months into their relationship, but lost the baby after a painful miscarriage at the end of her third month. She says the loss came after they already knew they were expecting a girl and had chosen a name for her, Tulip.
"When we lost the baby, we were devastated, we cried for days," Kardashian said. Doctors told the couple at the 12th week scan that the fetus no longer had a heartbeat.
Kardashian also described the long road to conception, saying the couple went through five IVF treatments over eight months. In May 2023, they announced they were "officially done" with fertility treatments and wanted to try conceiving naturally. A month later, she revealed her pregnancy at a Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles, while Barker was onstage, holding a sign that read, "Travis, I'm pregnant."
The documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, is set to be released at the end of August. Kardashian later had an emergency operation during the pregnancy to save the baby, and in November 2023 the couple welcomed their son, Rocky. Kardashian has three children with Scott Disick, Mason, Penelope and Reign, while Barker has three children from a previous relationship, including London and Alabama.
