Kourtney Kardashian says she suffered a painful miscarriage during her relationship with Travis Barker
Kourtney Kardashian says she went through a painful miscarriage six months into her relationship with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, in a new documentary about him that is due out at the end of August. In the film, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, Kardashian reveals that the loss came at the end of her third month of pregnancy, after the couple had already learned they were expecting a baby girl and had picked the name Tulip.
"When we lost the baby, we were devastated, we cried for days," Kardashian said. She explained that at the 12-week medical checkup, the doctors told the couple the fetus no longer had a heartbeat.
Kardashian also described the long road to conceiving. She said the couple spent eight months trying to get pregnant, including five rounds of IVF. In May 2023, they announced they were "officially" done with fertility treatments and planned to try naturally.
A month later, she revealed the pregnancy at a Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles while Barker was on stage, holding a sign that read, "Travis, I’m pregnant." During that pregnancy, she needed emergency surgery to save the baby’s life. Their son Rocky was born in November 2023. Kardashian has three children with ex-partner Scott Disick, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, and Barker has three children from a previous relationship.
