Israeli Journalists Condemn Sara Netanyahu's Claims About Yair Golan's October 7th Actions

Journalists have sharply criticized remarks made by Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, targeting Democratic Party Chairman Yair Golan regarding his actions on October 7th. Netanyahu's claims were dismissed by reporters as a conspiracy theory.

Journalist Akiva Novik expressed his willingness to help fund a lawsuit against Sara Netanyahu, stating, "If Yair Golan raises money for a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Sara Netanyahu, I will gladly participate." He added, "I am embarrassed and ashamed that she allows herself to smear someone who rushed to save Jews from a massacre. Shame on all of us."

Avishai Greinzeig, another journalist, also attacked Netanyahu's statements, emphasizing that while there are many legitimate reasons to criticize Golan, his actions on the day of the Hamas attack are not among them. Greinzeig called the accusation that Golan had prior knowledge of the attack "a delusional and false conspiracy" and asserted that the Prime Minister's wife "has no immunity."

Amir Ettinger joined the criticism, accusing Netanyahu of echoing a "delusional conspiracy about Yair Golan." He further criticized her involvement in the Prime Minister's circle, describing her conduct as "personal, political, toxic."

Michael Shemesh of Channel 13 News questioned the obsession of individuals who, from the comfort of their homes or bunkers, focus their criticism on Golan's presence on the battlefield on October 7th, rather than other aspects of his public life.
