She questioned how Yair Golan, head of the Democratic Party, was "dressed and groomed" on the morning of October 7th, implying he was aware of events before the Prime Minister. Netanyahu's comments alluded to an "inside betrayal" conspiracy theory.

The Democratic Party responded sharply to Netanyahu's remarks, issuing a strong condemnation. "The Democratic Party vehemently condemns the slander and lies of Sara Netanyahu tonight on Channel 14," the party stated. They added that "spreading conspiracies against Major General Yair Golan, and tarnishing his heroism on October 7th, is crossing a red line bordering on madness."

The party further contrasted Golan's actions with those of the Prime Minister, asserting, "When Netanyahu ran to put on makeup and look for excuses, Yair Golan charged in and saved lives."
