IDF Eliminates Hamas Supply Commander in Gaza City
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday the elimination of Omar Muhammad Rushdi Sarraj, identified as the commander of Hamas's supply and logistics battalion in Gaza City. Sarraj was targeted in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
According to the IDF, Sarraj was responsible for managing the supply of weaponry to Hamas operatives within Gaza City. In the same operation, another Hamas operative from the organization's military wing was also targeted.
The IDF stated that both individuals had recently advanced terror plans against Israeli forces and civilians and were working to restore Hamas's capabilities. Their activities were reportedly carried out in systematic violation of the ceasefire, and they were attacked to neutralize an immediate threat.
IDF operations in Gaza continue as the military aims to dismantle Hamas's military and governing infrastructure.
