IDF Strikes Gaza City, Eliminates Hamas Supply Commander
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a targeted strike early Monday in the Zabra area of Gaza City, eliminating Omar Muhammad Rushdi Sarraj, identified as the commander of Hamas's supply and maintenance company for Gaza City. The IDF stated that Sarraj was responsible for managing the supply of weapons to the organization's operatives.
During the same operation, another Hamas military wing operative was also targeted and killed. The IDF reported that both individuals had recently advanced terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. They were also accused of systematically violating the ceasefire by working to restore the organization's capabilities.
Forces from the Southern Command are continuing operations in the area, acting in accordance with the agreement to neutralize any threats.
