IDF Eliminates Hamas Logistics Commander in Gaza City
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a targeted strike in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City earlier today, eliminating Omar Sarraj, identified as a commander in Hamas's Gaza City supply and logistics battalion. The IDF stated that Sarraj was responsible for managing the supply of weapons and that he and other militants had recently advanced terror plans against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.
According to the IDF spokesperson, the strike also targeted another militant within Hamas's military wing. The military stated that these individuals were actively working to restore the organization's capabilities and systematically violated the ceasefire, necessitating the strike to neutralize the threat.
The operation aimed to remove the immediate threat posed by these Hamas operatives who were involved in planning attacks and bolstering the group's infrastructure.
