Maccabi Jaffa Parts Ways With Goalkeeper Arik Yanko After Three Matches
Experienced goalkeeper Arik Yanko is reportedly on his way out of Israeli football club Maccabi Jaffa, just three matches into his tenure. Yanko joined the club this summer with the aim of improving their defensive record and securing a higher league finish. However, after three consecutive losses and conceding nine goals, both Yanko and the club have agreed to an early termination of his contract.
The departure is final, and Yanko has already enlisted lawyer Amir Cohen to handle his exit agreement. Cohen has informed Maccabi Jaffa chairman Eran Cohen that Yanko is leaving and that a compensation claim will be sent to the club. Yanko had joined Maccabi Jaffa from Tel Aviv after a successful season with Hapoel Rishon LeZion.
