Maccabi Jaffa has reached an agreement with 34-year-old goalkeeper Eran Yanko, who will replace Nethanel Deloya after Deloya signed with Hapoel Afula. The signing was first reported by Sport 5.
Yanko spent last season with Hapoel Rishon LeZion in Israel's second division, the Liga Leumit. He brings extensive top-flight experience and was developed in Hapoel Tel Aviv's youth system.
Over his career, Yanko has also played for Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan, Hapoel Ra'anana, Maccabi Petah Tikva, Maccabi Bnei Reineh and Hapoel Umm al-Fahm. His peak came in the 2019/20 season, when he served as Hapoel Tel Aviv's first-choice goalkeeper.
His move is part of a broader wave of goalkeeper transfers in Liga Leumit. Alongside Yanko's arrival at Jaffa, Shahar Amsalem agreed terms with Hapoel Rishon LeZion, Tomer Tzarfati moved to Kfar Shalem, Deloya joined Hapoel Afula, Tamir Stoller signed with Hapoel Ra'anana, Razi Abu Hamdan went to M.S.
