Fatal Coastal Road Crash Kills Woman, Injures Six
A woman, approximately 50 years old, died in a fatal traffic accident involving four private vehicles on the Coastal Road near Atlit on Sunday morning. Six other individuals sustained injuries, including a man in his 60s who was seriously hurt.
Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services received the initial report at 6:13 AM. Responders arrived to find one vehicle completely crushed and another overturned. Paramedics confirmed the death of the woman, who was trapped inside the crushed vehicle and suffered severe injuries.
The seriously injured man, who was trapped in the overturned car, received life-saving medical treatment at the scene before being evacuated to a hospital with a head injury. MDA teams also treated and transported five other individuals with minor injuries to Hillel Yaffe and Rambam hospitals.
This incident follows a day of multiple fatal accidents across Israel, with four people killed in three separate crashes on Saturday. These included fatalities near Karmiel, Ra'anana, and near Tzohar in the Eshkol region, where a quad bike rider was killed and the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.
