Fatal Crash on Coastal Highway Kills Man in His 60s, Two Others Seriously Injured
A deadly traffic accident occurred Wednesday evening on Israel's Coastal Highway (Highway 2) near the Haifa South interchange. A man in his 60s was killed and two others were seriously injured in a collision involving two private vehicles heading south. The emergency call was received by Magen David Adom at 22:14. Paramedics found the man unconscious, without pulse or breathing, suffering from multiple severe injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other victims, a 30-year-old man in critical and unstable condition with multiple injuries, and a 25-year-old man seriously hurt with abdominal and limb injuries, were treated on site and transported by intensive care ambulances to Rambam Medical Center. MDA responders Ishay Levi, Shevach Rotenshtreich, and Rani Jbour described the scene as a severe crash with two heavily damaged vehicles and three casualties. They provided emergency care including bleeding control, bandaging, and immobilization before hospital transfer.
