Man in His 60s Dies and Two Others Seriously Injured in Fatal Crash on Highway 2 Near Haifa
A fatal collision between two private vehicles occurred on Highway 2 southbound near the Haifa South interchange on Wednesday. Emergency teams arrived to find a man in his 60s suffering from severe multi-system trauma with no signs of life. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional victims, a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old young man, were critically injured and evacuated to Rambam Hospital for further treatment. The 30-year-old is in unstable condition with multiple injuries, while the 25-year-old sustained serious abdominal and limb wounds.
Paramedics from Magen David Adom, including senior paramedics Ishai Levi, Shachav Rotenshtreich, and Rani Jbour, described the scene as severe, noting the extensive damage to both vehicles and the critical condition of the injured. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
