Woman Killed in Head-On Collision Near Ashdod Port, Four Others Injured
A 35-year-old woman died Wednesday in a head-on car collision near the Ashdod port. The police have launched an investigation into the crash, which involved two vehicles colliding frontally. The woman sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other individuals suffered minor injuries and were taken to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod for treatment.
The incident was reported at 09:54 to Magen David Adom's emergency center in the Lachish region. Israel Meir Gian, a paramedic from MDA's motorcycle unit, described the crash as involving two cars with front-end damage. He noted the woman was semi-conscious with multiple bodily injuries, while the other four injured parties were ambulatory at the scene. All received medical care before being transported by ambulance for further evaluation and treatment.
