PR Guru Roni Rehob Mourns Close Friend Roni Kleiman

Public relations expert Roni Rehob announced the death of his close friend, Roni Kleiman, who passed away at the age of 80. Rehob shared his grief on social media, remembering Kleiman as a "moving husband, exemplary father, and dear friend" who was "modest, special, and kind-hearted."

Kleiman was a significant figure in Israeli sports and culture. He served on the management of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club in the 1980s and chaired the club in the early 1990s. The club issued an official statement of condolence upon learning of his passing.

Beyond his sports involvement, Kleiman was dedicated to community work. He voluntarily chaired the board of the Batsheva Dance Company for years, oversaw the construction of the Yitzhak Rabin Center, and was a trustee of Rabin's legacy. He also served as the honorary consul of the Kingdom of Tonga in Israel, hosting the Tongan king during several visits.

For his contributions to the public and human rights, Kleiman was honored with the title "Yakir Tel Aviv" (Beloved of Tel Aviv). His funeral is scheduled for Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Menuchat Olam cemetery in Netanya. The family will observe Shiva at their home in Tel Aviv.
