Half Price Supermarket Chain Launches Major Holiday Sales
The retail chain 'Half Price' is intensifying its preparations for the upcoming High Holidays shopping season with a wide array of promotions. The supermarket is launching extensive sales across its fresh meat, poultry, and fish departments, as well as on cleaning supplies, toiletries, and wines, catering to the traditional pre-Yom Kippur break-fast meal and Sukkot holiday.
To accommodate the anticipated surge in shoppers, Half Price announced that its branches in Holon, Rishon LeZion (two locations), Hod HaSharon, and Rehovot will open exceptionally on Saturday evenings, starting September 19, 2026. The sales event prominently features the fresh meat and poultry sections.
Key offers include 2 kilograms of fresh chicken thighs for 50 shekels, and fresh chicken drumsticks for 60 shekels per 2 kilograms. Fresh split chicken breast will be available at 60 shekels for 2 kilograms, and fresh chicken wings are priced at an unprecedented 15 shekels for 2 kilograms.
For beef lovers, fresh ground beef is offered at 110 shekels for 3 kilograms, while fresh packaged ribeye steak is sold for 149 shekels per kilogram.
The fresh and frozen fish departments are also seeing significant price reductions. Fresh mullet is available at 100 shekels for 2 kilograms, and fresh sea bream is priced at 110 shekels for 2 kilograms. In frozen fish, frozen tilapia fillet with skin is discounted by 50%, selling for 14.90 shekels per kilogram, down from 29.90 shekels.
These promotional prices across various departments are valid until October 4, 2026.
