Half Price Supermarket Chain Launches New Gourmet Food Market
The Israeli supermarket chain Half Price is launching a new prepared food concept called "Food Market" at its Rehovot branch, located at 1 Derech Hayam Street. This initiative aims to enhance the customer shopping experience by offering fresh, home-style meals developed with a culinary concept that blends authentic flavors with high-quality, professional chef standards.
The menu and culinary direction were developed by renowned chefs Moshe Badishi and Shahaf Shabtai. They have created a daily menu featuring fresh ingredients, including handmade stuffed dishes, fish stews, meat and chicken entrees, and a variety of hot side dishes. On Thursdays and Fridays, the market expands its offerings with a special Asian concept, including fresh dishes and diverse sushi platters.
The Food Market is designed to resemble an urban food market, emphasizing presentation, service, and accessibility. The goal is to provide a high-quality solution for daily meals and family gatherings without compromising on quality. The market operates Sunday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and Fridays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
This launch follows a series of consumer-focused moves by Half Price. Ahead of the holiday season, the chain ran major sales offering discounted prices on a variety of home and kitchen products, including items for hosting, preparing holiday meals, and setting the dining table, such as kitchenware, serving dishes, glasses, chairs, and a folding table, with prices starting at just tens of shekels.
