As Israelis prepare for the High Holidays, a comprehensive shopping basket analysis by i24NEWS has revealed the most and least expensive supermarket chains for holiday purchases. The study found that Rami Levy Marketing Hashikma offers the cheapest holiday shopping basket, averaging NIS 2,469.
Following closely is Osher Ad, with an average basket cost of NIS 2,498. Yohananof ranks third, with an average basket of NIS 2,592, approximately NIS 100 more than the cheapest option. Carrefour's average basket is NIS 2,612, and MSHS Hshuk comes in at NIS 2,737.
Victory supermarket's average holiday basket costs NIS 2,799, while Keshet Ta'amim is priced at NIS 2,853. Shufersal's Yunevers chain presents one of the more expensive options at an average of NIS 2,916.
Shufersal itself is the second most expensive chain, with an average basket of NIS 2,988. Tib Ta'am emerged as the most expensive chain by a significant margin, with an average holiday basket costing NIS 3,282.
