U.S. Central Command said it carried out another large wave of self-defense strikes against multiple military targets deep inside Iran, including surveillance, radar, communications and air defense sites. President Donald Trump and U.S. officials said the strikes were part of a coercive effort to pressure Tehran, while CENTCOM denied Iranian claims that an American warship had been hit or that the Strait of Hormuz had been closed. The escalation triggered alerts in Bahrain and a warning from the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.
