The Health Ministry’s 2025 smoking report says smoking in Israel has reached a nearly 20-year high, with 23.1% of adults using tobacco and cigarette products. It also found rising e-cigarette use among teenagers, major social disparities in smoking rates, and wide gaps in local enforcement. Health Ministry Director-General Moshe Bar Siman Tov said the ministry will require graphic warning images on smoking products starting in August 2026.
