Israeli envoy warns US-led talks with Lebanon are veering off course
Yechiel Leiter, Israel’s ambassador to Washington and its negotiator with Lebanon, said the fifth round of talks is drifting away from its original goals. He warned the US-led process must still focus on dismantling Hezbollah and blocking Iranian influence, or Lebanon’s deal could fail.
