Novolog Appoints Ze'ev Menzur as New CEO Amid Control Battle and Board Overhaul

Novolog, a logistics and healthcare services company, has appointed Ze'ev Menzur as its new CEO, replacing Aviad Busi who left following a dramatic control struggle and board reshuffle. About two weeks ago, the Pozis family, founders of Novolog, increased their stake from 27% to 44% by purchasing shares at a price significantly above market value to prevent dilution and secure their position as the leading shareholders.

Oded Pozis, who recently took over family involvement from his father Udi Pozis, led the stake increase, appointed himself chairman of the board, replaced most directors except independents, and oversaw the departure of the CEO and CFO last weekend. Menzur brings extensive logistics experience, having served as CEO of LogistiCare, a private company operating 15 logistics centers, where he led a turnaround from losses to profitability and growth. He also managed supply chain operations at Shufersal, Honigman, General Mills, and Tnuva.

Novolog's main revenue comes from logistics, but profit margins are relatively low. The company has faced challenges including ERP system implementation issues in late 2024, from which it has only partially recovered. Under new chairman Oded Pozis, Novolog aims to focus on efficiency and profitability improvements in logistics, with Menzur expected to lead this effort. However, the company also faces strategic decisions about expanding healthcare services, a sector it entered through acquisitions in 2020-2021 under former CEO Eiran Taus. Taus left in 2023, succeeded by Busi, who sold some acquired assets to refocus on core logistics but was unable to implement his plans due to internal turmoil and market conditions.

Menzur will rely on his executive team to manage non-logistics areas and decide on healthcare expansion. Oded Pozis expressed confidence in Menzur's experience and ability to unlock Novolog's potential and improve profitability. In its Q2 2026 report, Novolog posted a slight 1% revenue increase to 957 million shekels in the first half of the year, with operating profit down 1.5% to 13.7 million shekels and net profit falling sharply from 5.8 million to about 1 million shekels, mainly due to dollar exchange rates and higher interest expenses. Logistics revenue remained stable, while healthcare services drove growth.
