His success in this role is key to unlocking Maccabi's full potential.

Maccabi Tel Aviv began preparations for the new season on August 20, with Kition Wallace joining the team. Wallace, the brother of Oklahoma City player Kayson Wallace, will play in the EuroLeague for the first time in his career. Serbian basketball analysis site Basketball Sphere extensively discussed his role and potential impact on Maccabi.

Analyst Luka Pavlovic highlighted that Wallace needs to maximize his strengths as a forward and become a leading guard for the team. While Wallace is a reliable three-point shooter and strong defender, he is more than just a catch-and-shoot player. He handles the ball well, excels in pick-and-roll situations, and has a good overall offensive game, supported by his defensive skills.

Basketball Sphere emphasized that Maccabi requires a player who can take ownership of the offense, create advantages, and assume responsibility. Although Wallace has shown these qualities in the past, he has not yet been a star or consistently taken on such a role. The team has significant talent in the frontcourt but uncertainties in the backcourt, making Wallace's leadership in offense crucial.

If Wallace can embrace this responsibility, he could move beyond being a complementary player and fully realize Maccabi Tel Aviv's potential. The analysis suggests that while he may not need to take a high volume of shots, he must be dominant and influential in the team's offensive execution.
