Italian media revealed why Israeli footballer Stav Lemkin's transfer to Lazio did not materialize. Although Lazio initially targeted Lemkin, the club shifted its focus to Croatian player Josip Šutalo, despite his higher price tag. The primary reason for this change was Lemkin's injury, which made him unavailable to contribute to the team in the near term. Lazio sought a player who could immediately strengthen their squad, and Lemkin's ongoing injury prevented that.
Lemkin remains sidelined due to the injury, missing Twente's upcoming match against Qarabağ. Twente's coach acknowledged Lemkin's absence but expressed hope for his return to the field soon to support the Dutch club. The injury has troubled Lemkin for several weeks, delaying his participation in competitive matches.
