Brothers of Fallen Israeli Soldiers Enlist in Paratroopers to Honor Their Legacy

First Sergeant Ili Gamzu from Ashdod was killed in combat on October 7 in the Gaza border area. Lieutenant Shahar Ben Nun from Petah Tikva fell two years earlier, in August 2024, in the Gaza Strip. Both served as commanders in the Paratroopers Brigade and left behind grieving families. Their younger brothers have now decided to follow in their footsteps by enlisting for combat service in the same brigade. Despite their pain and fears, the parents supported their sons' decision to join the military and continue the family legacy of service.
