Family of Missing Israeli Teen Haimnot Kasao Urges Authorities to Renew Search After 904 Days
More than two and a half years have passed since Haimnot Kasao disappeared from Safed, Israel, yet her family continues to fight for her return. On the 904th day since her disappearance, her older sister, Yerosl (Yeros) Kasao, spoke out in a special episode of the Maariv podcast "Education on the Agenda." She criticized the authorities for their lack of progress and questioned their commitment to finding Haimnot.
Yeros emphasized the family's pain and the normal life Haimnot deserves, saying, "She deserves to come home and live her life like other children, going to school, playing with friends. My parents deserve to hug their child, and we deserve to hug our sister." She contrasted the slow progress in Haimnot's case with other cases resolved within days, highlighting the apparent lack of will to act.
Addressing decision-makers directly, Yeros asked, "What do we need to do to make you want to bring her home?" She singled out Shin Bet chief David Zini, stating he has the power to bring Haimnot back and expressing her refusal to lose hope. Despite the passage of 904 days, the family still faces the unresolved question: Where is Haimnot Kasao?
