Israeli police spokesperson Aryeh Doron addressed the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Mally and Liel Yahalomi, stating that the exact reason for their disappearance remains unknown. Speaking on the "Kalman-Liberman" program on Kan News, Doron emphasized that the police have no knowledge of any specific incident leading to their disappearance, only minor debts. He highlighted the extensive international investigation involving multiple countries and continents, with significant intelligence resources deployed to locate them.

Recent reports indicate that the police believe Mally and Liel meticulously planned their escape from Israel and authorities. Newly released footage shows the two arguing with Walter, an Israeli police representative in South America, after being found in Argentina. Investigators suspect Mally, who had divorced and faced financial difficulties, sought to start anew far from her family and previous life. Her daughter Liel was aware of and willingly joined the plan, with evidence including messages where Liel agreed to run away with her mother.

The police also examined the family and economic background but found no signs of domestic violence or threats. Both mother and daughter appeared to lead normal lives, with Mally employed at Bank of Jerusalem. Initial suspicions of a serious criminal or financial motive, similar to the Eti Alon case, were not substantiated. The grandmother's involvement is under review, as Mally reportedly took money from her, suggesting possible knowledge or assistance. There is minimal contact between Mally and her ex-husband, the father of the children. Authorities have refrained from confronting family members to avoid compromising the investigation or alerting Mally and Liel.

Additional inquiries are underway, including whether the missing pair left Vienna by train, as part of efforts to trace their movements after their disappearance.
