The story · English

Israeli singer-songwriter Idan Amadi closed the 50th Hutzot HaYotzer Festival in Jerusalem with a deeply emotional moment. During his performance at the Sultan's Pool, Amadi dedicated the song "Nigmar" (It's Over) to Shmarya and Leah Goldin, the parents of the late soldier Hadar Goldin. This marked the first time in over ten years that Amadi's concert tour ended without displaying images of missing soldiers on the screen, a fact he shared with the audience before the song.

While performing, Amadi struggled to hold back tears, visibly moved by the dedication. He described the Goldins as very dear guests and spoke about the close bond he developed with them over the years, despite never having met their son Hadar. Amadi expressed gratitude to the Goldins for attending the show and for their ongoing efforts on behalf of the Israeli people. The heartfelt tribute underscored the enduring impact of the Goldin family's story within Israeli society and the personal connection Amadi feels to their cause.
