Bereaved Parents Unite in Emotional Performance of 'Father's Song'

Rabbi Tamir Granot, who lost his son Captain Amit Zvi Granot, and Rachel Goldberg, who lost her husband, reserve Captain Rabbi Avi Goldberg, performed together at a unity event organized by 'Nifgashim'. The joint rendition of Naomi Shemer's "Father's Song," accompanied by Goldberg playing the violin, deeply moved the audience, with many in tears.

Rabbi Granot, whose son fell in battle in the north, and Goldberg, whose husband was a reserve officer, chose the song to express their shared grief and remembrance. The lyrics, "If you fought in battle, you gave your heart," took on profound and chilling significance when sung by two individuals who have personally experienced the pain of loss.
