Over 300 Bereaved Fathers Unite for Support and Hope in West Bank Gathering
More than 300 bereaved fathers from across Israel gathered on Thursday evening at the Psagot Winery in the West Bank for a special event organized by the "Our Children" organization. The meeting aimed to provide these fathers with a moment of connection, support, hope, and belonging. The evening was dedicated to unity and appreciation for fathers who lost their loved ones, featuring a special performance by musician Raviv Kinar.
The event was hosted by media personality and social activist Natali Dadon, who addressed the attendees by saying, "You are not bereaved fathers, you are fathers of heroes." Among the participants were notable fathers such as Itzik Gvili, father of the kidnapped soldier Ran Gvili; Mendy Katz from New Haven, Connecticut, father of Moshe Katz, a lone soldier who fell in Lebanon; Yigal Tamam, whose two children were killed in the Nova festival massacre; Amir Daniel, father of Oz Daniel; Reuven Yablonka, father of Hanan Yablonka; Rafael Arvis, father of Shay Arvis; Tahar David, father of Adir; Ofir Shaar, father of Gil-Ad; Mark Abergel, whose son Eliran fell; Eli Biton, father of Benyahu Biton; Shimon Suisa, father of Moria Or Suisa; and Dudu Jerfi, who lost his son Liel and daughters Shoham and Shanev in the Nova massacre.
Throughout the evening, the call "There is no right and no left, there is one people" echoed among the participants. The gathering served as a space for mutual support, strengthening, and partnership among families who have lost their loved ones, emphasizing national unity beyond political divides.
