Israeli Surfer Lilior Advances to WSL Quarterfinals in Tahiti
Israeli surfer Anat Lilior has advanced to the quarterfinals of the prestigious World Surf League (WSL) competition held in Tahiti for the second time in her career. This marks her first season competing in the WSL Championship Tour, having made history by qualifying for the elite circuit.
Lilior began the tournament with a victory over Australian surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, scoring 4.16 points to Fitzgibbons' 1.67. In the second round, she faced the world number one, Gabriela Bryan, and delivered an impressive performance, winning decisively with 12.73 points against Bryan's 1.46.
By reaching the last eight, Lilior is solidifying her status among the top surfers globally. She now aims to continue her strong run and secure another win to advance to the semifinals of the competition in Tahiti.
