Itay Ehud, a young midfielder from Maccabi Haifa, has been loaned to Hapoel Petah Tikva ahead of the upcoming season. Despite interest from Hapoel Ramat Gan and Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Ehud chose Petah Tikva, coached by Omer Peretz, who is known for developing young players. Ehud had a breakthrough season at Hapoel Kfar Saba and recently participated in Toto Cup matches with Maccabi Haifa.

Ehud aims to gain significant playing time at Petah Tikva, as Maccabi Haifa's current midfield roster, featuring Yarin Levi, Eitan Azoulay, Ali Mohamed, and Navot Ratner, offers limited opportunities. He hopes to return to Maccabi Haifa's squad next season, following the path of predecessors Mahmoud Jabar, Mohammad Abu Fani, and Yarin Levi. Additionally, Amit Arazi is expected to be loaned out, with Ironi Kiryat Shmona expressing interest.

This transfer highlights the competitive nature of the Israeli Premier League's player market, where clubs vie for limited domestic talent. Ehud's move reflects a strategic step to secure playing time and continue his development under a coach experienced in nurturing young prospects.
