GKS Katowice faces a challenging second leg against Hapoel Tel Aviv in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers after losing the first match 2-0. The Polish side, coached by Rafael Gorak, remains optimistic about overturning the deficit when they host the Israeli team on Wednesday at 19:00. Gorak acknowledged mistakes made in the first leg but emphasized that the team is still in the fight, comparing the situation to a boxing match where the final bell has not yet rung. He also noted that striker Adam Zarłak will likely miss the game due to injury, but the team will still aim for victory regardless of the initial scoreline.

Katowice draws confidence from their previous qualifying round, where they overcame a first-leg loss to MSK Žilina by winning the home leg 3-1. Midfielder Kacper Łukasik expressed strong belief in the team’s ability to erase the two-goal deficit and advance, stating that no one in the locker room considers defeat a foregone conclusion. The team plans to maintain their current formation with some lineup changes to mount a balanced and determined challenge against Hapoel Tel Aviv, who themselves seek to preserve their advantage and secure a spot against Atalanta in the next round.
