Blue and White MK Michael Biton Meets with Beit Tzioni-Miluanikim Leader Hili Tropper Amid Gantz's Political Crisis
A surprising meeting took place on Sunday between Michael Biton, a member of the Knesset from the Blue and White party, and Hili Tropper, chairman of the Beit Tzioni-Miluanikim party. This meeting occurred amid the ongoing political crisis surrounding Benny Gantz, who has struggled to form alliances with other political groups. One major sticking point in negotiations is Gantz's insistence on securing the top spot on any joint list. Meanwhile, the political futures of other figures associated with Gantz remain uncertain. According to a report by Kan 11, retired Brigadier General Dedi Simchi, who recently joined Gantz, is also considering leaving the party. If Biton departs, Gantz would be left with only MKs Penina Tamano-Shata and Alon Schuster.
In response to the meeting, Biton stated, "There was a meeting - Hili and I are friends, we meet and talk with everyone." Tropper similarly confirmed the meeting, saying, "Michael and I have been friends for years, and we meet regularly." This development highlights the instability within Gantz's camp as the 2026 elections approach.
