MK Michael Biton Explores New Political Alternative Without Gantz

Member of Knesset Michael Biton is reportedly working behind the scenes to establish a new political force within the "third bloc" of Israeli politics, aiming for an alternative that excludes Benny Gantz and his party, Blue and White. This initiative follows the collapse of coalition talks between Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot, and Eisenkot's subsequent announcement that he would not run in the upcoming elections.

Biton is said to be in contact with various groups, including the "Fourth Quarter" movement and "El HaDegel." He is also reportedly in discussions with Dani Miran, who leads the pensioners' list and is the father of Omri Miran, a former hostage.

In parallel, Benny Gantz is reportedly frustrated with MK Chili Tropper, who he believes is not committed to unifying the "third bloc." Gantz allegedly cannot understand Tropper's stance, as Tropper espouses similar messages to Gantz and the bloc but is unwilling to join a unified effort.

Biton himself stated that he is considering his future political path, including the possibility of taking a break from politics. He indicated that he would join a new movement if it emerges as a significant, traditional, statesmanlike, social, economic, Zionist, and Jewish force, which he believes is currently lacking in Israel.
