Israeli Hotel Chain Gordonia Launches Luxury Yacht Charter in Mediterranean

The Israeli hotel chain Gordonia is expanding its hospitality services from land to sea by offering a luxury yacht charter experience. The 36.5-meter yacht, named GORDONIA I, will sail between the coasts of Italy and Greece, accommodating up to 12 guests. The yacht features five suites, a plunge pool, a private chef, and a crew of up to seven, including a captain, chef, stewards, and sailors. Additional amenities include a motorboat with twin engines and three jet skis.

GORDONIA I is a 2026 model built by Italian manufacturer Sanlorenzo and designed by Italian designer Piero Lissoni. Guests rent the entire yacht for a minimum of one week, with the itinerary tailored to their preferences, including destinations along Italy and Greece’s coastlines and marina stops. The yacht can reach a maximum speed of approximately 24 knots, cruises at 20 knots, and has a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles.

This move marks Gordonia’s first venture into yachting, managed under a similar operational model as its hotels, in partnership with Israeli company Swell Yachting, which specializes in yacht sales, rentals, and management from Herzliya Marina. The weekly charter price starts at 100,000 euros, covering yacht use, facilities, and crew, but excludes fuel, food, and marina fees, which are billed separately. Bookings are currently open for voyages from April to October.

Gadi Friber, CEO and co-owner of Gordonia, stated, "We aim to bring the luxurious and meticulous hospitality experience associated with Gordonia hotels to the sea. This is a completely private vacation where every detail, from the route to the cuisine, is personally tailored to guests, allowing an intimate and direct Mediterranean experience." Gordonia currently operates several hotels, including Gordonia Maale Hachamisha, Gordonia Zichron Yaakov, and Alma Hotel in Zichron Yaakov.

This initiative comes as international hotel brands like Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons also expand into luxury yachting, offering large yachts with dozens or hundreds of suites. Gordonia’s offering is distinct in its smaller scale and exclusive full-yacht rental model for up to 12 guests.
