Gordonia Resort in Zichron Yaakov Gains Buzz as Israel’s New Premier Getaway
The Gordonia Resort in Zichron Yaakov has quickly earned its reputation as one of Israel’s top new luxury resorts. Nestled in the serene streets of the historic town, the resort offers guests stunning infinity pools overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, creating a tranquil and picturesque escape just an hour from home. Visitors often mistake the setting for a Mediterranean island due to its breathtaking views and relaxed atmosphere.
The resort features 141 rooms and suites, some with private pools or jacuzzis, operating primarily on a half-board basis. It caters mostly to guests aged 10 and above, maintaining a calm and sophisticated ambiance year-round, except during Israeli holidays when children of all ages are welcome. The "Gordonia Lounge" continues the hospitality tradition from the original Gordonia hotel in Ma'ale HaHamisha, offering complimentary wine, soft drinks, snacks, and coffee daily from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Dining is a highlight, with an open kitchen showcasing local produce from the Carmel region. The menu includes a wide variety of fresh meat and fish dishes, praised for their quality and flavor. Breakfast is equally abundant, featuring diverse salads and egg preparations. For those seeking further indulgence, the resort’s two-story spa offers 11 treatment rooms, jet pools, dry and wet saunas, and a blend of traditional and modern therapies.
Gordonia Zichron Yaakov marks the beginning of the Gordonia chain’s expansion, which started with the Ma'ale HaHamisha hotel. A new Gordonia hotel is set to open on the Sea of Galilee in 2027, with plans for five additional locations across Israel by 2029, including Eilat, Caesarea, and Netanya.
