Early July saw promising hotel, restaurant, and attraction bookings, but August brought a decline, partly due to mixed messages from former U.S. President Trump about peace and potential war. Currently, only 60% to 80% of hotel and guesthouse rooms are booked, significantly lower than in previous years. New business owners, who invested heavily and have yet to recover, are particularly affected and are urging the public to visit the north to aid economic recovery.

Despite distant artillery sounds becoming a local backdrop, the security situation is stable, allowing visitors to enjoy the region safely and comfortably, often with better weather than much of Israel. Among new ventures is Bambi Beach, a kosher dairy seafood restaurant in Nahariya opened by Ofir Ben Hamo, a hospitality veteran motivated by his military service and commitment to northern Israel's renewal. Ben Hamo emphasizes the need for community and government support alongside entrepreneurial efforts to restore the area's vitality.

In the border-adjacent village of Dishon, Nir Amar recently opened the boutique Doriyah Hotel, designed for couples and featuring six rooms and wellness facilities. Originally set to open in October 2023, the hotel faced delays due to conflict with Lebanon. Occupancy remains around 60%, as visitors are slow to feel secure despite the calm. Amar calls for stronger tourism promotion and collaboration among local businesses to boost the region.

In Daliyat al-Karmel, Druse entrepreneur Shafik Badriya operates Israel's first kunafa museum and visitor center, showcasing traditional Druse cuisine and culture. Despite heavy investment and a unique offering, visitor numbers remain low, possibly due to the summer heat and subdued public mood. Badriya remains optimistic that post-summer, schools and corporate groups will increase visits, helping sustain the project.
