No New Lebanon-Israel Negotiations Planned Next Month, Diplomatic Source Says

Lebanese news outlet Al-Mayadeen, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that a Lebanese diplomatic source stated there are no plans for a new round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel next month. The source indicated that if talks do occur, they are likely to take place after the summer. According to the source, Israel and the United States have rejected expanding pilot zones until progress is made in the two existing areas and have demanded Hezbollah's withdrawal from the Ali Taher ridge. The Lebanese delegation also dismissed Israeli claims that all explosions in southern Lebanon are due to attacks on military infrastructure.
